Why Being an LGBTQ+ & Woman-Owned Business Matters to Me

Building Silver Springs Apothecary has always been deeply personal.

As an LGBTQ+ woman-owned business, this brand represents creativity, authenticity, softness, resilience, and the freedom to create a world that genuinely reflects who I am.

For a long time, many of us grew up feeling like we had to make ourselves smaller, quieter, less expressive, less emotional, less different. Creating this apothecary became a way for me to fully embrace the things I love: femininity, ritual, nostalgia, music, storytelling, artistry, and intentional self-care.

I wanted to create a brand that felt welcoming, expressive, inclusive, and emotionally connected.

Silver Springs Apothecary is built on the idea that self-care should feel safe, beautiful, and personal for everyone. Whether someone connects with the music-inspired collections, the nostalgic storytelling, the ritual aspect of the products, or simply finds comfort in the scents themselves, I want people to feel seen here.

Being a woman-owned business also means deeply valuing craftsmanship, creativity, and community. Every product is handcrafted in small batches with care and intention because I believe people deserve products that feel meaningful.

At its core, Silver Springs Apothecary is about creating beauty, comfort, and ritual in everyday life.

And I’m incredibly proud that this little apothecary exists exactly as it is: authentic, expressive, inclusive, and inspired by the things I love most.
